# IP66 — मतलब और सीमाएँ

> Kent inverters की IP66 rating असल में किससे बचाती है — और heat, UV, corrosion और steady drips से क्यों नहीं बचाती।

दोनों Kent hybrid platforms **IP66** rated हैं। सही समझें तो यह ताक़त है; ग़लत पढ़ें तो field की आधी siting गलतियों की जड़ यही है।

## IP66 का मतलब क्या है

* **पहला 6 —** dust-tight enclosure। बारीक धूल sealed compartment के अंदर नहीं जा सकती।
* **दूसरा 6 —** किसी भी दिशा से आते तेज़ पानी के jets से सुरक्षा।

तो हाँ: enclosure पर मानसून की बारिश अंदर नहीं जाएगी — **लेकिन सिर्फ़ बिना छेड़े, सही ढंग से assemble हुए seal system से होकर।**

## IP66 क्या करता है और क्या नहीं

| Enclosure के अंदर धूल जाना | **बाहर heatsink पर धूल जमना** और cooling का घटना                                |

| छींटे और पानी की धार       | Plastics, labels और cable jackets की **UV** से उम्र घटना                        |
| —                          | **Corrosion** — नमक-धुंध और ammonia metal पर IP की परवाह किए बिना हमला करते हैं |
| —                          | ऊपर लगे pipe या AC drain से **सालों तक की लगातार टपकन**                         |

इसीलिए manuals outdoor-rated unit के लिए भी छाया और बारिश का सीधा रास्ता न होना माँगते हैं — outdoor-rated का मतलब लापरवाही से outdoor नहीं है।

## Seal System उतना ही अच्छा है जितनी उसकी सबसे कमज़ोर Gland

  IP66 मानकर चलता है: factory gaskets से छेड़छाड़ नहीं, **हर gland सही size की और torqued**, और **हर खाली port उसकी bung से sealed**। एक खुला knockout IP66 को IP-कुछ-नहीं बना देता है।

## हर Inverter Outdoor-Rated नहीं होता

Market में indoor-only models (IP2x class) भी हैं। "Inverter तो outdoor होते हैं" वाली बात site के दूसरे equipment पर कभी न लगाएँ। **कुछ भी site करने से पहले nameplate पर IP class देखें।**

## आम गलतियाँ

* **"IP66 है, धूप झेल लेगा" कहना** — IP ingress है, thermodynamics नहीं।
* **Façade की सफ़ाई में unit पर point-blank pressure-wash** — jets ठीक हैं; gasket की seams पर सीधी lance, नहीं।
* **निकाली हुई gland को "अगले हफ़्ते extra cable आने तक" खुला छोड़ना** — मानसून इंतज़ार नहीं करता।
