# Essential Loads — Backup बनाम Grid-Only Circuits की छँटाई

> Essential panel पर क्या और क्या नहीं — backup/grid-only छँटाई का नियम, wiring discipline, हर circuit label करें, असली loads से black-start test करें।

Backup की quality DB में तय होती है, inverter में नहीं: essential panel पर आपने जो wire किया, customer outage में रात 9 बजे उसी के साथ जीता है।

## छँटाई का नियम

**Essential (backup) panel पर:** बत्तियाँ, पंखे, router/networking, TV, phone/laptop charging, alarm/CCTV, एक refrigerator — *जहाँ platform की motor-start capability उसे उठाती हो* — Kent M1 पर इसका मतलब है सिर्फ़ rated power पर sizing। \[KNB-VAL-02]

**Grid-only, हमेशा:** air conditioners, geysers/water heaters, ovens और induction, washing machines और dryers, बड़े pumps, EV charging, welding-class कुछ भी।

हिसाब यह: essential panel का असल एक-साथ draw platform की backup rating — [Backup क्या कर सकता है, क्या नहीं](/hi/handover/backup-can-and-cant) — के आराम से भीतर रहे, शाम की असली खपत को ध्यान में रखते हुए, nameplate की fantasy को नहीं।

## Wiring का अनुशासन

* Essential panel **Backup port की अपनी protected branch** से feed होता है, platform के AC page के हिसाब से — grid और backup circuits downstream wiring कभी share नहीं करते।
* **हर चीज़ label करें**: panel ("BACKUP — ESSENTIAL LOADS"), हर way, और दरवाज़े पर DO/DON'T card। अगला electrician इसे दस सेकंड में समझ जाए। 📷
* Kent G3 वाले three-phase घरों में essentials को phases पर फैलाएँ — एक लदा phase सबसे पहले per-phase ceiling छूता है।

## साबित करें, फिर हैंडओवर

**असली essential panel के साथ black-start test** चलाएँ:

फिर customer को समझाएँ *कौन-से switches backup हैं* — वही उनका mental map बन जाता है।

## आम गलतियाँ

* "अभी के लिए" पूरा घर backup पर — पहली outage, पहला overload trip।
* Customer की ज़िद पर fridge plus AC essentials पर — मना करें तो लिखकर, न कर पाएँ तो escalation में।
* बिना label का बँटवारा — अगला AC installer नई 2-ton unit के लिए backup panel में tap कर देता है।
* Kent G3 पर सारे essentials एक phase पर — वादे के आधे पर ही per-phase ceiling आ जाती है।
