A Kent system is commissioned when every box is ticked, every pass condition met, the photo set uploaded and the customer has signed — not before.

The three checklists

Common

Every Kent hybrid site, both platforms — run this first.

Kent M1

Single-phase platform additions.

Kent G3

Three-phase platform additions.
Run Common first, then your platform’s list. Items never cross platforms.

Pass/fail discipline

  • Every item states its pass condition. Meet it, tick it. Cannot meet it — the item is a fail, and a failed safety or sequence item stops the commissioning until fixed.
  • 📷 marks items that require a photo in the record — the shot list is the Site Photo Checklist.
  • Items carrying a KNB-VAL tag have a value pending Kent confirmation: apply the stated interim rule exactly and record what you measured.

The commissioning record

  1. The completed checklist(s) with every tick.
  2. The full photo set, uploaded same-day.
  3. Settings snapshot — photograph every settings screen after final configuration; this is the restore point for future service.
  4. Customer sign-off — walkthrough given, DO/DON’T handover card left on site, signature captured with the record.

Common mistakes

  • Ticking now, photographing “later” — later has a 40% survival rate.
  • Treating a KNB-VAL interim rule as optional because “the real number is coming”.
