What is partner-gated

Passwords for the advanced menus on both platforms are partner-gated and differ between Kent M1 and Kent G3. Public pages say “authorized installers unlock the advanced menu” and stop there. They will never be printed on this site.
Grid code selection during commissioning must be set exactly per the Kent parameter sheet for the site’s DISCOM. The selection process is documented here, but the specific code values for each DISCOM are confirmed through Kent partner training. [KNB-VAL-01]
The KNB-VAL IDs you see on these pages are tracking references. The complete register — with OEM citations, resolution status, and interim-rule history — lives on the partner portal, not here.
The proctored test, practical assessment, and Kent partner certificate run through Kent partner training — not through this site. The quiz bank here is the public self-study layer, with answer keys included, so you can prepare. Passing the quiz does not grant certification.

Common mistakes

Never share partner passwords with unauthorized crews. Sharing an unlock password so a subcontractor can “save a call” is how wrong grid-code settings end up on customer sites. Every unlock is attributable, and the audit trail is real.
Design tools — string sizing, load surveys, battery capacity calculations — remain partner-side. This site is complete for field installation and service but is not a design resource.
Before assuming a value is missing or gated, check whether a KNB-VAL validation block covers it. The block will tell you the safe interim rule and the tracking ID to quote when you contact Kent.
