Order of work
- Confirm the site per Choosing the Location and the M1 limits (altitude ≤ 2000 m, clearances).
- Mount the unit.
- Earth it — both PE points. Earthing comes before any other wiring.
- PV wiring → Battery wiring → AC wiring → CT & meter → Comms & datalogger → GEN port if used.
- Run the Kent M1 Commissioning flow, then the M1 Commissioning Checklist.
Before you start
- Check before signing. Inspect packaging for damage, verify the model against the order, count deliverables. Any problem: do not unpack, photograph, contact your Kent channel.
- Packing list — 1× inverter, 1× mounting plate, 3× M6×50 expansion screws, 1× L-wrench, 1× WiFi dongle, 1× ferrite core, 1× CT, 1× PT1000 temperature sensor (lead-acid use), 1× cable, 2× PV male connectors, certificate, quick guide.
- Tools. Impact drill (Φ10 bit class, Φ8 for anchors), torque screwdriver and socket wrench, multimeter, PV crimping pliers, wire strippers, level, marker, PV plug unlocking tool, PPE (gloves, goggles, dust mask, safety shoes).
- Handling. Two people; keep the unit level; never rest it on its connection sockets.
If units are stored before installation
- Storage SOC-neutral rules for the inverter: keep the original packaging, desiccant intact, stack per the carton markings, and check monthly on long storage; a professional check is required before a long-stored unit enters service.
- Storage temperature windows: −20 to 35 °C for 12 months, to 45 °C for 3 months, to 55 °C for 1 month; humidity 0–100 % non-condensing; transport −10 to 40 °C under UN3481 rules.

Common mistakes
- Unpacking a damaged carton instead of photographing and reporting it first.
- Skipping the mounting-plate anchor check because “the wall looked solid”.
- Wiring AC before earthing — the PE points come first on this platform.
